Human beings are getting weak and loosing tone.
We evolved to walk and run, yet we mostly sit.
We evolved to live outdoors, extend our heads to gather food and watch for predators, yet we went indoors and tuck our necks and heads inward.
We evolved to relate to the distance outside, yet by means of socializing we relate to the eyes of others and mostly the computer screens. The more we stay inside, the more we sit and loose our stamina and our breathing becomes more abdominal.
Then we decided to wear shoes, The shoes became more sophisticated over time to the point that our feet atrophied, and we became even softer. We stopped using our knees as they were designed and developed knee problems… etc, etc,….. then the store goes on and on… and
Then one day we decided to make foods really refined and our intestines started to malfunction…..
Perhaps we need to begin transition by transitioning ourselves, our bodies..

My particular vision brings to Nelson and Area a well-proven technology for recycling that would enhance carbon capture, recycle nitrogen, reduce waste, augment agro-silvaculture, reclaim industrial wastelands and reduce eutrophication of waterways. In principle, this process could enhance the ability for Nelson and Area to become more food-independent.
We are accountable to Pachamama for management of “waste” and if we can develop methods that convert the collateral impact of us humans living in a fragile bioregion into benefits for all our relations, we are duty-bound to do so, on behalf of 7-generation sustainability.

Hi
I have a garden (100 years old). It is too much for me. Would love to share. My home/garden is right in town on Latimer St.
Please contact me if you are interested in shared gardening or have a suggestion to help me find a kindred gardener.
Thank you
Marilyn

Let’s get rid of plastic bags in Nelson or at least explore why not?
