Come to the “Imagine Transition” video and music show! Feb. 27th Capitol Theatre

“Imagine Transition” music and video competition finalists will be presenting their astounding works at the Capitol Theatre on February 27th, 7:00 pm.

Local musicians and videographers have been asked to “imagine” Nelson in 2030, or to envision how to “transition” Nelson to a more sustainable and resilient community future.  The audience will vote by secret ballot for their top three performances in each category.  The top three winners in each category will receive cash prizes and, first prize winners will receive a 2010 silver ”Seedling” award from Transition Nelson.

In the spirit of fun and celebration, audience and performers are asked to dress-up in their flashiest 1971 outfits, to pay homage to the release of John Lennon’s inspirational song: “Imagine.”  There will be a follow-up party at the Best Western where winners will be announced.  The Best Western celebration is free for everyone possessing a Capitol Theatre ticket stub, and is otherwise $12 adult/$8 students and seniors.  This event is open to all ages, and will include a cash bar and DJ sound.

We hope to see you all at the Capitol Theatre on February 27th  - enjoying the creative and thoughtful visions of many of your friends and neighbours!  Come have a say in whose vision of the future takes your vote!

Don’t miss this spectacular, audience-directed show full of fun and inspiration!

Tickets are on sale now at the Capitol Theatre $12 adult/$8 students and seniors.
